Land Rover Introduces New Engines for 2018 Models! According to recent reports from carscoops, Land Rover has introduced a selection of new Ingenium four-cylinder engines for the 2018 Range Rover Evoque and 2018 Discovery Sport. The first engine, the Si4 240, delivers an impressive 237 hp and 340 Nm (250 lb-ft) of torque in both the updated Evoque and Discovery Sport. The slightly differently shaped Evoque enjoys 38.7 mpg while the Discovery gets 35.3 mpg.
The second new engine that has been introduced for both models is the Si4 290, which offers up to 286 hp and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. This power is enough for the Evoque to speed to 60 mph in 6 seconds or 6.5 seconds for the Discovery Sport. In the updated twin-scroll SD4 diesel, Land Rover has quoted a 237 hp and 44.1 mpg for the Discovery Sport.
Furthermore, the 2018 Evoque has been updated to include a revised color palette, optional sports seats with perforated leather and the availability of a new SE Dynamic trim for the Evoque Convertible. The 2018 Discovery has been updated to include more comfortable seats, additional color choices, and a Dynamic styling pack.
